Bobo the mature cat – loves his fosterer and cat care pen – but longs for a permanent home

Bobo the long-haired tabby, has been in the care of Cats Protection for a long time - watching the weeks, then the months, and now the seasons going by. We would love to see him move out of what was meant to be short term accommodation, and into a permanent home.

Since he was a kitten, Bobo has lived with only one family, so comes from a very stable background. When his former owners relocated towns, their new home was set on a very busy road, and they felt this was not safe for him.

He’s a mature guy, at around ten years old, but in fine form. His one special need is dry food tailored for good digestion.

He comes with all the boxes ticked in terms of being vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.

Having had just one previous owner, he is understandably rather nervous and withdrawn around new people – so he needs a little time, perhaps just a few weeks, to settle comfortably and securely into a new home in his own shy way.

Not a spritely youngster, and restricted to a cat pen for several months, he could quite happily be rehomed as an indoor-only cat if that’s what new owners prefer.

Bobo would enjoy being resettled as soon as possible with a mature family, couple, or single person, so he can once again experience home comforts and company. Because he likes the quiet life, the home should not have dogs, young children or other cats.

As cosy as it may be, Bobo definitely wants to avoid a one-year anniversary in Cats Protection care.
